The promoters have been involved in the trade of supply of human hair raw materials to China and Myanmar for the last decade and a half with total supplies of more than 500,000 kgs. It was previously known Asian hair Exports and recognized and partnered with the top 5 manufacturers in china for their raw material supplies. With a high reputation with out clients in china we formed Merriant Fashiontech to change the industry ,recognizing the fact that India is the key to the words hair market participating about 70-75% of the worlds raw material supply.
Led by experience in the industry and technological support from our Italian, Korean and Chinese counterparts and technicians , machinery from China , Korea and Germany we have formed a state of art facility and going against the eco-system to start the 1st in India manufacturing facility in Kolkata with about 1000 indirect and 100 direct factory employees which is increasing every moment . With an advantage of knowledge on quality of hair/ option of selection and Merriant been placed so high in the supply chain that we kill the Chinese competitor both in Quality and Price.
Mr. Ambarish Roy
Mr. Ambarish Roy has done General Management from IIM Bangalore (1.5ys course)(India). He has been a senior banker with Citibank, MBNA and during his last assignment he was the Associate Vice President of HSBC in Bangalore. Being in the commercial banking team he has been the part of executing Mergers and Acquisition deals worth USD 45 Million He also has been a part of the IPOs, External Commercial borrowings, Foreign Direct Investments etc. He was the member of the banking committee in Karnataka. He has been working as a consultant for various organization post the banking career. In another venture Mr Roy had worked on Pre Fabricated housing project for Serengeti Industries of South Africa where he was instrumental in sourcing , executing the terms and conditions of the deal. During his various business visits abroad he had studied the hair industry in HK , China, Myanmar, Vietnam and India.
Mr. Subhro Sengupta
Subhro Sengupta, an IIT graduate, has served the manufacturing industry for around 20 years and worked with corporates like Indian oil, Emerson process management, Asian Paints and ITC Ltd. He has a thorough understanding of Process Automation, Supply Chain Management and Factory construction Before leaving his last assignment in Surya Nepal ( A subsidiary of ITC ) he had completed construction of two green field factories valued over 500 Crs and was slated to take the responsibility of country head of Projects for Surya Nepal. During His PGPEX course at IIM Calcutta, he has picked up nuances in Finance and marketing and takes special interest in Strategy courses.
